Functionality generally seems easy and grown up, text, images and even recording audio works well - not using chat clients for large file transfers, but i am quite sure, that 20 MB should be possible.

Actually, from what I understood from using it years ago, it's just an email exchange transformed into a chat, so I'm not sure what to add here.
On the other hand, speaking of Delta Chat, I've always wondered how it can replace WhatsApp or Telegram or anything else, knowing that emails has obvious limitations when it comes to exchanging large files.

@Mario Vavti It was certainly something on my mind, as well, although I didn't see how they could make me Chatcontrol myself if I'm running my own server. The hard part, of course, is getting people to try it (or Monal, if they're on iOS.) Right now, I'm using XMPP with exactly one person. Getting people to install Signal alongside WhatsApp was hard enough in some cases...

I mentioned delta-chat because it came up in the comments. I use conversations, but I also basically only talk to one person, because the other four cats don't even respond, it's complicated.
